About the Connecticut State Senate

The Connecticut State Senate is made up of thirty-six Senators, each representing an average of 94,600 citizens. Democrats are the majority party in the state Senate, currently representing twenty-three districts; while Republicans currently represent thirteen districts. These thirty-six Senators represent their respective districts on state matters serving at the State Capitol in Hartford.

About the United States Senate

All the citizens of Connecticut are represented in Washington, D.C. by two United States Senators: Christopher Dodd, and Joseph Lieberman. You will not find information on this Web site about our U.S. Senators but may follow the links (on their names) to access their individual Web sites.
