Veterans Job Fair in East Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Labor will be heading to East Hartford next week to host the 2017 "Heroes 4 Hire" veterans career fair.

More than 50 companies are participating in the event, designed to help connect former service members with open positions in a variety of different fields from aerospace and defense to insurance and sales.

Heroes for Hire

"Heroes 4 Hire" will be held Tuesday, April 25th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.

A list of the companies that will be attending and the positions that are available is online on the Department of Labor's website.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to take advantage of the following services:

  • Nationally certified resume writers available for resume critiquing.
  • Access to CT.Jobs, an electronic job-matching system, part of the nation's largest internet employment service.
  • Veterans Services Representatives to provide assistance and guidance.
  • Information on educational and job training programs.
  • Information on employment and unemployment services.
     

Middlesex County Career Fair

On Tuesday, June 20th, the Connecticut Department of Labor will hold a Middlesex County Career Fair in Cromwell that will be open to the general public.

That event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Cromwell.

Employers who would like to participate in these excellent programs can register to do so online.
