Standing Up For You!

Forum and Discussion on Our Local Education Funding

Please join me on Thursday, January 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Avenue, for a forum and panel discussion on changes to state funding for local education. I will be joined on the panel by Connecticut School Finance Project Director Katie Roy, Democrats for Education Reform Connecticut State Director Amy Dowell, Norwalk Federation of Teachers President Mary Yordon, and Board of Education member Barbara Meyer-Mitchell.

As a longtime advocate for Norwalk, Darien and all local towns receiving the funding they need, I am happy to provide this opportunity for folks to learn more about the important changes included in this year's bipartisan budget that delivers critical funding to our cities and towns.

Senator Duff with students

With two kids of my own in the Norwalk public school system, I see every day how much our teachers and administrators depend on state funding to provide an excellent educational experience to their students.

Again, I hope to see you Thursday, January 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Norwalk City Hall and I look forward to answering your questions.
