Working Alongside Connecticut's Best Domestic Violence Support Providers

This week, I attended an important briefing hosted by the Prudence Crandall Center in New Britain. Several of Connecticut's leading advocates against domestic violence and sexual assault spoke with me and other legislators about the services available in Connecticut and how we can work with them to make things better. The Prudence Crandall Center, Chrysalis Domestic Violence Services, Interval House, Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury, the Susan B. Anthony Project and the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence do incredible work, impacting nearly 15,000 people in our state each year. I am very grateful to them for taking the time to speak with me about how I can help in their critical mission.

Supporting Connecticut's State Colleges

I want to thank the great group of students and teachers who visited my office from Tunxis Community College in Farmington. We had a great discussion about how their education is changing their lives. Connecticut's state colleges and universities are one of our most critical resources, preparing our residents for the future and ensuring a steady pipeline of trained employees ready to join the workforce. I will continue to do my part to promote the health and stability of higher education in our state.
