Healthy Families, Healthy Communities

Join Me for a Community Conversation About Opioid Recovery

Next Thursday, September 13, I am going to attend the Central Connecticut Health District's Opioid Initiative Recovery Workgroup community conversation that is designed specifically for family and friends of people in recovery.

If this is an issue that affects you or someone you love, I encourage you to join me.

Community Conversation on Opioid Recovery.

Family members and friends of those in recovery have a unique perspective on the type of resources that communities like ours can provide to add to your personal efforts. The Central Connecticut Health District's goal with this evening of conversation is to create a community that is supportive of people who are in the recovery process.

What are your thoughts and ideas? I'd like to know what central Connecticut families can do to create more recovery-friendly towns.

Please join me if you have a family member or friend who is in recovery, who struggles with substance use disorder, or who lost their life to addiction.

We'll be meeting on Thursday, September 13, at the Wellspring Church, 222 Lincoln Street in Berlin. We'll meet for light refreshments beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by the community conversation from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
