South Windsor Students Share Art at the Capitol

Last week, I welcomed a group of South Windsor students to Hartford for Art at the Capitol. The young artists and their families were invited into the Senate chamber to share the inspiration behind their art pieces with state legislators.

The Art at the Capitol program allows staff and visitors at the Capitol to see firsthand just how talented the young artists in our schools are, thanks in large part to the excellent art teachers in the 3rd Senatorial District.

I want to thank the more than 150 students who submitted entries for Art at the Capitol this year for sharing their talents with the entire State of Connecticut!

Here are more photos from the event:

I look forward to welcoming students from East Hartford and East Windsor for their Art at the Capitol event later this month.
