State Approves Bonding for Stamford

The State Bond Commission this week approved funding to create nearly 1,000 new jobs in Stamford, as well as make improvements to a local museum, health care center, homeless shelter, and three local schools.

This is a massive state investment in Stamford, and I couldn't be any prouder of our city or more hopeful for its future than I am right now. Not only will this bonding grow new jobs in Stamford, it will retain 1,600 more; this only reinforces Stamford's role as the business capital of Connecticut.

I'm also proud to welcome state funds for construction and renovations to the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, the Community Health Center, the Stamford Charter School for Excellence, the Rippowam and Westhill schools, and to Stamford's emergency shelter. Not only will this state bonding pay the salaries of construction workers, it will improve the quality of life for every Stamford resident.
