Senator Leone Welcomes State Bonding for Renovations at Stamford High School
HARTFORD, - Today, Senator Carlo Leone (D-Stamford) welcomed the State Bond Commission's approval of $551,110 in grant funding for renovations and improvements at Stamford High School.
"Education and upgrading our schools remain a high priority. I am pleased that the Bond Commission approved this much needed funding," said Senator Leone. "Working collaboratively with my colleagues in the Stamford delegation, and with input from community and school leaders, this funding will ensure we create a more vibrant, up-to-date, school building for teachers and students."
"It goes without saying that the entire Stamford High community and the Stamford community is thrilled with the announcement of the approved bond funding," said Raymond Manka, Principal of Stamford High School. "The additional funds will go a long way to improve our academic environment and support our students."
The Bond Commission's approval of $551,110 will assist with renovations and improvements to science classrooms, parking and creation of courtyard instructional space at Stamford High School to elevate their learning experience and better prepare students for a successful future.
