Today Senator Eric Coleman (D-Bloomfield), Senate Chair of the Judiciary Committee, offered the following statement on the Senate confirmation of a diverse group of six new judges.
“Governor Malloy nominated a diverse group of individuals to be judges in the State of Connecticut, including three females, an African American and an Asian. All of these choices reflect great potential for success as jurists, and they bring experiences to their responsibilities that are collectively impressive. All of the new nominees hold the potential of making a significant positive impact concerning the administration of justice in the State of Connecticut,” said Senator Coleman.
He continued, “I commend Governor Malloy for the careful selections he has made, and the Judiciary Committee for thoughtful deliberations regarding each of the nominees.”
Six new judges were confirmed by the State Senate today, in addition to the reappointment of several others. The six new judges include:
