"Friday the 13th has proven to be an unlucky day for families and small businesses in Connecticut who are struggling to pay healthcare costs. Gov. Rell has ignored their pleas and instead listened to the special interests groups and lobbyists which are desperate to maintain the status quo."
"Of course, the status quo isn't working for families, small businesses, and taxpayers. Everyday I hear people lament the high cost of living and working in Connecticut. During the last year, small business owners, municipal leaders, and working men and women have joined the coalition of people pushing for the health care pooling bill. They know that Connecticut cannot afford the status quo. They understand what Gov. Rell apparently does not--that everyday another business, another family decides it is just too expensive to call Connecticut home."
"The Healthcare Partnership would have lowered costs and it is my hope that it comes back to life next year."
