During a reception at the Legislative Office Building, Senator Coleman greeted some of the participants taking part in the “Colt to Hip Hop” Fashion Show project. With Senator Coleman, left to right, are: Brenda Cole, the team leader; Andre Keitt, a community outreach specialist with the Hartford Public Library; and three of the students and models, Brittany Wilborn, Sheena Scott, and Kerri Bovell. Using computers, the students conducted a research project to see how technology has changed since the time of Samuel Colt in 1814 to the present. (December 6, 2004)
