State Senator Thomas Gaffey

The NCAA Division II National Champion women’s basketball team from Southern Connecticut State University visited the State Capitol to received richly deserved honors. Here, the team takes time to meet with SCSU alumni Senator Tom Gaffey (back row, center) and New Haven Senator Toni Harp (in red suit). Holding the ball is LaShauna Jones of Middletown who scored a career high 19 points to lead the Southern over Florida Gulf Coast, 61-45 in the championship game. (April 11, 2007)
