Senator Thomas P. Gaffey (left), receives from Governor M. Jodi Rell (right) a signed copy of the new law he wrote requiring the sale of so-called fire-safe cigarettes in Connecticut beginning July 1, 2008 while an unidentified Meriden fire official looks on.
