2019 Legislative Update

• Authored a new initiative that provides a tax credit for employers who help to pay off the student debt of their employees. This will make Connecticut more affordable for young people and establish a more business-friendly tax environment
• Sponsored three new gun safety laws that ban ghost guns and strengthen gun storage in cars and at home
• Fought for a balanced budget which saves for the future with the largest Rainy Day Fund in the state’s history
• Fought for our public schools, so every student has an opportunity to succeed
• Fulfilled a bipartisan promise and implemented tax cuts for seniors on Social Security and pensions
