Moore Talks Food Justice on WPKN

State Senator Marilyn Moore (D-Bridgeport) was the special guest this week on WPKN’s “The Organic Farmstand” to talk about her work with the CT Food Systems Alliance which works toward regional food justice and sustainability. The Organic Farmstand panel included Bill Duesing, Guy Beardsly and Richard Hill.

“There were not many voices of color at the table. But we all eat. White people eat, black people eat, Asian people eat. But at the time, we were not all at the table. So, we started bringing all people together to have a voice. My role was to engage all communities,” Senator Moore said of her experience when she began as an ambassador for Food Solutions New England.
