Monroe, CT— Senator Marilyn Moore (D-Bridgeport) kicked off her Labor Day Weekend at the Monroe Farmers’ Market, where she met with town officials and spoke with her constituents Friday on the Town Green.

The Monroe Farmers’ Market is a seasonal market offering fresh, locally-grown produce, baked goods, prepared foods and hand-crafted products to the community. All of the products are grown or made in Connecticut, by people who care deeply about the land and make thoughtful, conscientious choices for its stewardship. While at the market, Sen. Moore picked up a few items herself, including delicious freshly-baked bread and “Connecticut Grown” vegetables.

“There are so many good, rich vegetable and fruits here, a petting zoo for the kids,” Sen. Moore said. “I really enjoyed myself, especially talking to my constituents.”

The Monroe Farmers’ Market is open every Friday, rain or shine, from June 23 through October 27, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. on the Monroe Town Green, on the corner of Fan Hill Road and Route 111 in Monroe, Connecticut.
