Sen. Moore Welcomes $400K State Grant for Long Hill Green

TRUMBULL— Senator Marilyn Moore (D-Bridgeport) today welcomed a $400,000 Community Connectivity state grant for additional sidewalk connections in Trumbull’s Long Hill Green.

“The town has been working for several years now to make improvements to Long Hill Green,” Sen. Moore said. “I’m happy to support these efforts by securing state funding for the project.”

Trumbull’s Office of Economic and Community Development applied for the grant in August 2017, but the funds had been frozen until recently. Last week the department was notified it was selected to receive the award.

This money will be the third grant Trumbull has won for improvements to Long Hill Green. The project is currently in the process of design and work will get underway next spring.
