Today, State Senator Norm Needleman (D-Essex) issued the following statement regarding the announcement by State Representative Linda Orange (D-Colchester) that she will resign from office to focus on treatment for pancreatic cancer:
“I’m deeply saddened that Representative Orange is resigning from the legislature as a result of her illness,” said Sen. Needleman. “She’s a friend, a mentor and someone who I deeply respect as a legislator and as a human being. She worked tirelessly for the residents of her district and the state and will be sorely missed.”
