Senator Lesser on the Passing of Rabbi Lazowski

“Rabbi Lazowski survived the Nazi occupation of Poland, carrying his mother’s wish that he live to tell the world what really happened. He spent the rest of his life answering that charge. He wrote sixteen books, spoke to untold thousands around the world, and helped make Holocaust and genocide education the law in Connecticut so that students who never met him would still learn what he survived. I am a better person for having known him, and I know I am not alone in that. Rabbi Lazowski’s life was a moral lesson for our time. My deepest condolences to Ruth, to Alan, and to the whole Lazowski family.”

-Senator Matt Lesser (D-Middletown) on the passing of Rabbi Philip Lazowski
